Meg is a practicing clinical herbalist, ceremonialist, tarot reader and apothecary manager and medicine maker at The Elderberry apothecary. She has an undergraduate degree in Gender, Sexuality and Women’s studies with a minor in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University.

In addition to the above, Meg writes, gardens, and studies nutrition, anatomy and physiology, psychology, astrology, and a host of other subjects. She has deep interest and personal practice in ancestral work, handicraft as art, tending wild and cultivated plants, and is dedicated to supporting access to wellbeing for all.

Sydney Batson offers bespoke healing containers that combine energetic herbalism, craniosacral therapy, and shadow integration. She loves playing matchmaker for her clients – pairing them with the herbs, therapies, and practices that best suit their unique needs. Sydney manages The Elderberry, a women-run herbal apothecary in Charlottesville, VA, where you can find her preparing custom herbal formulations for her clients and offering in-person and virtual sessions. She is passionate about providing a truly holistic healing experience that restores the health of the physical, emotional, and energetic body.

Cameron Steele, PhD, is a writer, teacher, and tarot reader based in the Blue Ridge mountains, where she counsels clients drawing on her doctorate and divinatory training. Recent essays have been published in Gulf Coast, Barrelhouse, Brevity, and Split Lip Magazine, and her dissertation won runner-up for the Iron Horse Review/Texas Tech University Press first book prize in 2021. She also writes the popular weekly newsletter, “interruptions,” at the intersection of literature, illness, and the esoteric.
